1970 D die crack leading to roof blob

    Hello cointalk,

    Very new here have learned alot from browsing your threads and have a long way to go! Not sure if worth posting, you can see the die crack on the E leading to the roof where there is a blob of copper from what i can tell was not pushed up from the sides. Thanks for any thoughts

    Nice find. This is a common location for die breaks to occur on the memorial cents.

    Welcome to the neighborhood @findapenny !

    Some people like to collect die cracks, but there is no real numismatic value attached to the most common ones found. Furthermore, you will never ever find a classification system for them.
