The "Circulating Set" comes in the cheesy unsealed plastic as pictured above. It's designed to be cheap and easily opened so collectors can fill the holes in their albums. It's essentially an uncirculated set without the nice packaging or any stated or implied level of quality.
Meow does not think they list if that year (2010) has what type of quarters, in what set. Since they don't make satin quarters anymore.
But the black one says uncirculated on it. Meow wants to know if there are satin quarters or not, in them.
I think I see the cause of your confusion. From 2005-2010, if you bought an "Uncirculated Set" from the mint, you got the satin finish. So the one in your picture should be satin. If you bought a roll, or a bag, a "Circulating Set", or plucked one from circulation, you got the non-satin business strike. Before 2005 and after 2010, there's no difference.
If my memory is correct, the satin finish was used on the Uncirculated Sets in 2010. I quit buying Mint products in 2008, and they have changed marketing directions so many times that I can't keep up with them. My suggestion would be to ask the seller if you spot a set that interests you. Chris
So what do you guys think about the S mint ATBs? The non proof ones. Meow tried to find mintage numbers for them, but came up empty.
If we took the bones out it wouldn't be crunchy--would it? https://video.search.yahoo.com/sear...066a3eff6e06db22a69c47da4076cd77&action=click
Oooooh, you have an axe. Looks like Fender, maybe? Meow likes the fender type woods, but not their designs. So Meow goes Jackson. Gibson styles are more to Meow's taste, but Meow has a poor opinion of mahogany bodies.
With the link you provided, Meow found this: http://www.coinnews.net/2010/11/23/...ful-quarters-uncirculated-coin-set-available/ And there they say the set has satin quarters in them. Thanks for your help.
Think Meow will want both sets, as they are two different types of coins. Now only if the Cat wallet has become magically full somehow. So many things to hoard, so little cash....………………………..
