My daughter who lives in Texas sent me two quarters and told me they were type B so I started googling it, searching different links. I did not want Mr.myownprivy to say look it up yourself so I did but I don't think I get it yet. The type b reverse is found on Washington quarters from 1957 -64. It said a proof reverse die was used by mistake on a business strike. How can you tell whats the key when looking at the reverse.. is the all the dates 1957--64
Here's some great information about Type B's: https://www.washingtontype-b.com/ Also, they were also produced in 1956.
Also, there is a rather lengthy thread (11 pages) on CT from 2009. It may have more info for you. I don't know. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/type-b-washington-quarters.83465/ Chris
That's what I was looking for in the Forum..I knew you all had beat that horse to death somewhere on here thank you Mr.BILLARDS
It's funny that you should spell "Billiards" missing the second "i". When my design for a commemorative casino chip in 2001 for the Billiard Congress of America was approved by the Riviera in Las Vegas, they misspelled it the same way. Chris
FWIW, I didn't find it on a CT search. I found it on Bing but it was at the very bottom of the list. Chris
Also, keep in mind there is a Type C 1964-D reverse as well. There's a good comparison here: https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=168054
Yes Camaro, they are proud of those type C 1964 D on the bay... another lesson here..... Is it just me or do you guys ever learn anything that you didn't know about or heard on here... cause I never seen anything go unanswered..
