Here is a new Ebayer jumping on the SCAM bandwagon with a possible SVDB roll AND a restocking fee. Can you say dbl scam? This is drawing out the true scum, these vdb rolls, it's absotuley discusting. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230226008142&_trksid=p2759.l1259 You folks know what to do, lol
No Offence OLDMAN but the seller already broke ebay policys by selling it on consignment. I think the new rule of the BAY is NO CONSIGNMENT COINS anymore. Unless I read that wrong. Either way the dudes a shister and should be shut down. But don't ask me to bother reporting him. I dont care about protecting the stupid from them selfs.
He does make one fatal mistake. He has a DIRECT link to his email address. Leaves him open for a lot of questions/comments that do not have to go through ebay. Have you guys looked at his 14-D roll? IS it a 14-D?
Here's my first question for this guy. "As you state in your auctions "You get what you pay for" Is that a warning for those that may bid on decepetively salted rolls?" I'm sure he'd love other insightful questions!
15% restocking fee, and it costs $10.90 to ship a roll of pennies?! Glad nobody's been dumb enough to bid yet lol...
I just sent him a real nice e-mail, we should all e-mail him and tell him what we think and maybe he will pull these auctions or think twice about doing it again. By the way the coin on the other end of the vdb roll is probably what the rest of the roll looks like, common date AG-G coins.
LOL, apparently he removed his entire description and photos. :mouth: Wets: Don't know where you heard that but ebay actually has a program for consignments. It's not against the rules.
Here's why they are gone. I got a response from the seller as I'm betting Mr. Merc did. Not nasty at all actually. "Hello, Thank you very much for the email and for your concern for others on ebay as well. The coin rolls that we had listed on ebay were completely legitimate (at least on our part), however since you (and another member) brought up some good points, we had decided to pull them off of ebay. We are legitimate sellers and aren’t trying to take advantage of anyone, nor do WE want to be taken advantage of by anyone who sells to us. Currently, we have removed the rolls off of ebay. We will be returning these rolls back to the owner, otherwise we will break the rolls open and sell the coins individually. If you have any more questions about these or anything else from us, feel free to ask. Again, thanks for your interest in our auctions." So what do you all think?
WOW, it's a suprise, maybe there is hope that some folks actually put reputation and ethics before the buck...Right on !!! ( same reply I got by the way, to the word)
NOW!!!! QUICK NOW!!!!! their legit, JUMP on them!!!!! I'd buy them BUT I already made my first 2 coin purchases off ebay within the last 2 days, So im done for a while!
Why didn't they just pull the auction, instead of putting coming soon? What do you get if you bid? That little piece of paper? Phoenix
Yes Clembo, I received the same exact e-mail. I hope they decide to open the rolls, I'm sure the consignor won't let them though.
They may have intended to try to reuse the ebay item # in order to save on an insertion fee. Since there were no bidders, that may have worked had they done it. As for the rolls. the seller may have been legit, but I'm guessing that the rolls weren't and someone was just trying to ride on the good feedback of a reseller.
