Here is a split planchet Cent I acquired from an old jar full of cents and had certified by NGC. It's one ugly Cent but beautiful at the same time! Love error coins!
And the first year of memorials to boot! Just wondering and I guess it find it interesting...that an error like this does not receive a grade, but other errors (like a silver dollar struck on some type of cardboard) can somehow be determined to be MS. Might also be a difference of TPGs as well...
I'm guessing AU-50 RB - Slight traces of wear on high points; may have contact marks and little eye appeal. I'm glad it was not cleaned because NGC love to point it out when someone does that.. IMPROPERLY CLEANED sucks
Also... This one got a grade... for a amusement park token... amazing... Do you have a picture of the silver dollar on cardboard?
Sure thing, here is some pictures a friend posted on another forum. It's not his, but someone else's...one of the craziest errors I have ever seen. But I have no idea how they can grade a coin MS64 when it was struck on sandpaper...
