2014-P Australia Crocodile Silver Dollar ANACS MS60 Beautiful Color Toned Gem "I've never seen a purple croc, I never hope to see one..."
Those Australian rounds seem to be very susceptible to toning. I would almost go as far as saying the toning is natural. And with that the toning was not accelerated or doctored. These will get very vibrant colors if not put into an airtite.
However this particular coin got toned, edynamicmarketing appears to deal very heavily with obviously AT coins, and there's enough of a pattern to make me suspect that they're cooking the coins themselves. It could be, though, that they're only buying pre-cooked coins, then selling them on. There's clearly a market for this trash on eBay, and they've gotten relatively few negative feedbacks for it. I do fault them for presenting this as "ANACS MS60", and not mentioning that it's a details grade or artificially toned, even in the description.
I was just going to mention edynamicmarketing. They won't even let me bid on their stuff after the comments I made to them. I let them know they are infamous on coin talk. I have purchased AT ASEs in ANACS holders (unfortunately they are the only TPG that states they are AT) that were beautiful. Edynamicmarketing's are not beautiful in the least.
I have bad news for you about the minting process, not to mention the stock-rolling process, the refining process, the mining process...
Well depending if the diamond is natural stone or enhanced by heat and chemicals. As color diamonds do occur in nature.....but these days quite a few are man made.
Yeah, we argue here without end about the difference (or lack thereof) between "natural" and "artificial" toning, but I was just making trouble. There are "natural" processes that coins are subject to after minting, even if they're human-caused -- circulation, storage, display -- and some toning results from these. The purple nightmares pushed by this seller are another thing entirely, and I (and many others) call that "intentional damage". Or vandalism.
