Double struck 1966 quarter

Is anybody familiar with the value of a double struck quarter?

It's nice to welcome a newcomer to the forums, but it is even nicer when you are able to post such a cool-looking error. Perhaps @Fred Weinberg or @paddyman98 or @JCro57 can give you an idea of its value.

How about a image of the side of the coin ( rim ) .
I'm not seeing a copper core ..........

 

I believe that I can see the copper on the edge. Did you click twice on each image to enlarge it further?

Unusual coin. But do it a favor and flatten out the staples. (Pliers)

 

Nice saddle double struck! There may even be an indent on the reverse.

Heck, I'd submit it for grading. It looks to be in pretty good shape.

A beautiful double struck saddle Quarter and with a date. Watch those staples. This coin needs to be sent in to be professionally graded. A wonderful example of a Mint error. Minimum value $250.00, more if slabbed.

Beautiful.
Worth? $100.00 - $200.00 raw IMHO

 

I took a look at the double strikes that Fred has for sale on his website. I think this one has them beat!

Thanks for your replies. These are from a family collection that we just came across today... there are a number of mistruck coins... this is another one...

 

Man, I can't remember the last time a "double struck coin" thread from a new poster showed an actual double-struck coin.

Both examples are impressive.
