This is a popular bandwagon to jump onto, and rip people off. I have reported it, please help by reporting also. This carp is geting out of hand. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270214017589&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017 Thanks !!
This Seller only has the one listed and has not sold any others, so it may actually be a legitimate item with no manipulation! There are several Sellers that have rolls and rolls of Lincoln cents with just about every Key Date in the Series showing on one end or the other. These are the Sellers that need to be reported! Frank
If you think that is something, check out his 1956 D Doubled Die obverse: http://cgi.ebay.com/1956-LINCOLN-WH...yZ139805QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I don't know, could be legit, could be bogus. If I saw something like that though at the end of a roll, in that condition, and didn't search it, (which I am about 99% sure I would ) I wouldn't price it at only $300. :goof: Phoenix
It amazes me people can live with theirselves seeding rolls like that. It seems to be an epidemic lately. Who in their right mind would not open that roll if they even thought that VDB ment something which they obviously do. If I thought there might be a coin worth over $1000 in the roll I would tear right into it. You can bet there is a 100% chance that roll has been opened by the seller. Very sad indeed.
My next batch of " Possible SVDB " rolls will include pictures of the home roll crimper I bought just for the purpose of exposing these crooks. That and before/after pics of an MS-70 toned Lincoln as well. I have had great luck with the auctions and some pretty darn funny questions as well.
Hey Jack, How about trying a run of rolls with one of the plastic replica 1909-S VDb Cents on the end of each roill! Frank
That is so true yet imagine how many people out there just can't see that. This story of may grandfather dieing lately and leaving me this pile of coins is really getting over done lately also. I've seen so many relatives dieing lately it makes me think the funeral homes are really doing the greatest buisness.
If I tried to run an auction like that I would get laghed off ebay!!!! Also when I got coins from my grandfather, I went through every one. Thats actually what got me back into collecting.
