1964 D lincoln cent

    Hi im new to collecting. Im Just wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this 64d cent. Why does it look different from other penny the same year? Is it worth grading???

    Different? Probably because it was stored and kept in better condition than the other two. They saw more circulation and they toned.

    Your coin would have to grade MS67-MS70 to make it worth submitting for certification, and I just don't see that happening.

    Well thanks for your help. I was thinking maybe it was a sms or proof but then I found out that denver didn't make sms. Do you guys know if denver ever made ever made proofs?

    your coin is not a proof, it probably sat in someone's change jar for 20 years before they decided to cash in their change...

    Usually, proof coins come from San Francisco.
