im pretty excited to have opened a roll today and find a penny I’ve been looking for 1936-S double die on obverse. To my knowledge he has eyelashes as well
Your pictures are not nearly sharp enough to be able to tell anything with certainty. http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1936&die_id=1936s1do001&die_state=mds
I understand what you were trying to show. I was telling you that your pictures are not good enough for anyone to tell if your coin is a doubled die or not.
That’s okay I was just excited and my camera is not good enough to show. The eyelashes is probably dirt but looks like eyelashes so was laughing about it.
I don't see a 1936 S Doubled Die listed http://varietyvista.com/Variety Master Listings/lincoln doubled dies 1930-1936.htm
You must know this.. Mint Marks are not Doubled Die.. They were hand punched into the Obverse Die so they can't be a Doubled Die issue. So what your are seeing is a result of Die Deterioration doubling that has absolutely nothing to do with a true Doubled Die variety
YES! Someone read the "Attention New Members" post! In the post I mentioned that suspected errors should be circled.
