Hi. this is my first post as I am new to the forum. I have been looking at the shield pennies and have come across a few that I have questions on and hoping I can get some clarification regarding "doubling" vs. "machine doubling. Please see the four attached photos. I am not sure which doubling they indicate. Thanks for any help.
That what you see is Machine Doubling and/or Die Deterioration Doubling. Not errors nor varieties. That's why I don't even bother looking.
