1858/7 Flying Eagle Cent. Strong overdate? Weak? Or just a plain 1858?

It's a simple process, really, when it comes to the PCGS Major Varieties. If they miss it, they fix it for free. And I've never had them change a grade on me during the process, FWIW.

My greatest score using that method was an 1809 Capped Bust Half in PCGS AU58. Bought for $3000, sent back as a mechanical error because it was the XXX Edge, fixed for free, then sold for $6,000 in cash/trade deal to Dr. Link. Easy-peasy.

Does this variety not have the die chip above the 8?
    I can't see it on CBD's coin.

I thought this was supposed to be a marker for all 1858/7's?

    Well done, CBD!
I hope to cherry-pick one of these one day.

They gave me new trueviews with the new holder. Think it looks more like an MS62 in the new ones (2nd set)? @ToughCOINS

I do see a bit more luster in the True Views, but the highest points still look a little worn to me, as do the obverse fields. Were it not for the open fields on the obverse not being so subdued, I'd accept the high point wear as cabinet friction.
