A 2006 American Silver Eagle 3-piece set (complete with Reverse Proof), all 3 graded ICG 69 for .......

    $799.95 or 4 flex pays of $199.99

Gotta love HSN :headbang: :desk: :headbang:

If anyone wants my set for $800, let me know. I'll then buy a new set on eBay and pocket up to $500.

    Caveat friggin' emptor!

I would just say in HSN's defense that they really aren't marketing to folks like those who populate Cointalk. They operate with a high markup; but for someone who knows nothing about coins and wants to buy a gift for a relative or just put something away for the next generation, they are probably a good option compared to going to Ebay or even a local coin shop. If someone buys a coin gift for you and they tell you they got it from HSN, I hope you just say thank you and don't go into a lecture about why they did something wrong.

    LOL,

I will miss my early, early morning entertainment when Robert Chambers is off the air.
All things aside....he is just a tad informative & very entertaining.

I'd would still be a buyer at this level. A lot of supply in the market but also a lot of interest in silver as well. Still a good price. It's a long term play though. If you buy at this level for the quick pop, your chances are very slim. This past year has been usual to say the least with this latest run. Still a great long term player as well as Gold for sure.

Wow, you would "still be a buyer" of 3oz of silver for $800? Now that's optimistic. ;)

Clem, I don't think I'd buy coins based on silver spot. The coins that fascinate me are worth far more as coins than as buillion and I think that a rise in spot price means nothing to their values.

Then again... what do I know??? LOL

If it was offered at the actual cost of silver, yes I would be a buyer at about $60 bucks give or take another $ or 2. :).

I don't but sure wish I could buy my old copper (you know 2 Cents etc.) based on the skyrocketing price of copper. I'd GLADLY pay $3-4 for a pound of 2 Cent Pieces. ;)
