Looks like a worn die strike.

I agree. So the "notching" I see on LIBERTY especially on the "I" and "B" it's nothing special..Correct?

Either that or just a weak strike.
A photo of Lincoln/ whole obverse would be helpful with this type of question.

Either that "what" ? the notching? So, you see the notching as I do? Give me 5 to upload pics of the full coin. My battery has been playing tricks to me for a while..

I don't see no stinking notching.:)
The surfaces of the coin make me think of a weak strike.

So your view is that these are worn dies right? I need to know so I can exclude future examples...

Notice how the I and B are thinner than normal letters. On true doubled dies, the letters appear thicker than normal, never thinner. Keep that in mind during your search

The pic is for MD versus hub doubling, but you get the idea.

I see some flat and shelf like characteristics on the L of liberty. But as I said I think it is a weakly struck cent.

IMHO...if it were a weak strike there would be maybe a flat area of the hair. I see full detail of both the hair and beard and no wear on the cheek. The high spots: hair, eyebrow, ear, cheek and jaw...look unworn...so I have to go with PaddyMan on worn die causing the lettering and date anomalies...Spark
