I got this recently. Another "what is that" type of thing. I did research and did not have any luck. I really think it is comical trying to figure out what it might say. All picograms and stuff, looks like a dinosaur on one side. Just wanted to ask what anyone might think it does says.If you have any info please post. And post if you want to take a guess, or make something up. I am certainly uncertain of what it says.
Your dinosaur could be a camel. On the back side: man and possibly turtle. That thing above man reminds me of an ancient oil lamp. Just throwing some things out here.
This is an Egyptian Revival token similar to the "Egyptian Magic Coin" and probably inspired by the "King Tut" craze of the 1920's. This particular oval variety was supposedly handed out by museums with Egyptian-themed exhibits.
I got one of these items recently for a couple of dollars from the usual place: Egyptian Oval Coin Bronze, 22 mm x 31 mm, 5.76 gm Both sides have Egyptian-style hieroglyphs and figures
I think I have one side figured out. A man got up to use the chamber pot that he keeps under his bed, trips over his pet frog, hit his head on the pole, that is indicated by the dot and knocks him senseless for a few seconds. The other side is more difficult. I believe it talks about an alien invasion that looks remarkably like the alien ships in War of the Worlds.
You've obviously been spending too much time trying to figure out the criteria the TPGs use to differentiate between MS69 and MS70 for First Strike Silver Eagles
Found a clue about a treasure, buried under a Big upside down M around palm trees. It's getting more interesting and what a mad, mad, mad world it is.
