Would like insight what you all consider this in the columns.

This one is a bit odd for me. I will defer to @Fred Weinberg on this one.

I would like to check that year and mint mark.
Can you provide the Year and Mint Mark to see if there are any known oddities ?

yes that is the kicker. This is my 1988-D reverse Transition rdv-006. So when i went to cross reference , i see some for both years but not like this and nothing from the reverse transition.
sorry about the sideways pics, but its the only way i can get the image width to get a clear( well still not perfect) picture.

It looks symmetrical on either side of Lincoln. I'd guess it was made like that on purpose.

I'm not a Die Variety specialist,
so my guess is Mechanical Doubling.

I note there is no doubling on the lettering
("CA" area), and it doesn't look like a doubled
die in the columns, so it looks like MD to me.

I stand to be corrected by those who might
know this particular coin or die.

Last column has a continued notch at the top , just throwing out somethings for better id of what is going on

I'm not sure, I've seen some of this incorporated into designs on purpose, and sometimes they're actually doubled.

Cross referencing other attributed column that have characteristics of this they all have been attributed to extra columns, this has me puzzled , had some great feedback, and its on my rare transition , so make me even more intrigued.

I can say, I definitely do not know personally. Im going to cross reference some reg 1989 d and see if i can find with die markers to compare

About Mr. Wexler- I don't know this is an especially good time for submissions as he has not been well and is quite back logged. Best to contact him first to see if he can accept. My last submission was in Oct. and have not received mine back yet. He did message me in Nov. about his problems but that was the last I heard and I don't want to pressure him. FYI. Tom

He did confide in me but I feel it best to respect his privacy. As an aside, he did mention that You Tube videos are causing a lot of the back log in a negative way. Sadly though, his health issues are not going to go away. But if anyone is of the prayerful nature, he could certainly use all of ours.

Where would be the best place in your opinion to get a coin attributed then. My prayers are with mr.wexler.
