extra letter in 57 wheat lberty

    It's a common 'die chip', aka "BIE"

    They are still found today in change or
    groups of coins - mostly from the 1950's,
    but they occur before and after that period.

    They're interesting, but have no premium
    unless they are Gem BU's - no premium
    because people still find them all the time,
    like you did.

    Good eyes, nice example of a die chip.
