Anyone know what this piece is made of, I'm thinking bronze or the stuff that's used to make plaques, but I forget the name of it. Anyone know? Beautifully made medal, 50 year medal for the Native Sons. IMG_9515.JPG IMG_9553.JPG IMG_9523.JPG IMG_9519.JPG IMG_9520.JPG

I think I figured this piece out, it's made of jewelers bronze. Jewelers bronze consist of 85% copper and 15% zinc while regular bronze is 88% copper and 12% tin. Why would anyone care? :D You always gotta be ready for prospective buyers. ;)

    Below is off the internet:
There are many different bronze alloys, but typically modern bronze is 88% copper and 12% tin. Alpha bronze consists of the alpha solid solution of tin in copper. Alpha bronze alloys of 4–5% tin are used to make coins, springs, turbines and blades.
