Have a question on a 1982 D small date. Is this a rarity? Almost close enough to be a close AM. 82-D small date zinc, 1 cent.
And as Paddy said, 4 cents total.
They made 17 billion cents in 1982.
So far there's only been 1 1982-D small date copper to surface.
Will another one pop up? Maybe.
But if you spent 1 second each searching 1 billion 1982-D small date cents,
without ever sleeping or taking a day off, that's 31 1/2 years.

I guess we need to change this stock answer, just read in "Coin World" about a second one being authenticated .

    1982 d small date 1 is higher.
my coin weighs 3gms on my kitchen scale.
    I don’t have a complete accurate scale to measure 100th gram .

Well that's very cool. I will be interested to read about it.
The result is going to be thousands of more posts from You Tubers.
Still very exciting. The stock answer does not need to be changed, just edited from 1 to 2. I always said I believed another one to pop up one day.

Exactly:) look at my number 2.
Like I said my scale is not accurate.

Yours has the appearance of a zinc cent. You need to weigh it on a proper scale to determine anything, a kitchen scale is meaningless.

I will get a better scale to have a more accurate weight before I send it off to be graded.

    Thanks for the input guys!
    Much appreciated.
Will be posting more of my errors soon. Keep a lookout!

There's no need to have that coin graded.
    It's not copper.

Maybe not but it still has a small date.

Being a small date doesn't mean anything unless it is also made of copper. The 1982 D copper plated zinc cent is worth 1 cent.
