1972 penny no mint.

I'm new to coin hunting but found this today. I am having a hard time finding information on this error. Can anyone help me? The "O" in One Cent has a significant error. I don't even know what the error is called. Is this worth anything?

Your image is too small. Can you crop out the unnecessary background, resize the image and then use the "Full Image" option?

I know most errors for this year are DD but this error seems like it was done during the minting.

 

your coin is damaged, the O took a hit, not an error...

I second that.. Not a mint error nor doubled die.

Coins with strange looking issues you find in circulation are most likely just damage.
Don't assume that they are errors.

Also.. No mint mark means it was minted at the Philadelphia Mint.
