Does anybody have an idea of how much this coin is worth. I tried searching the internet but the coins that were on there were from 1998 and up
Your coin looks like a 1998 to me. This type of coin wasn't issued in 1988- and because of the hyperinflation in Mexico, 1980s coins had much higher denominations. https://en.ucoin.net/coin/mexico-50-centavos-1992-2009/?tid=10391
I find these type of coins when I metal detect.. Worthless. I just throw them into a jar with dozens of other worthless foreign coins.
