One sided quarter?

I received this quarter the other day from a local convenience store. I’m just curious as to whether this is a “rare” find, or if is even spendable. I’ve invluded some photos. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

The reverse of your coin has been ground off with some type of sanding machine.
Spend it.

When you go pay for something with it.. make sure they only see the side that's not damaged

 

Throw it in the garbage, so it doesn't show up here again
Or turn it in to the bank, so they can have it disposed of, properly.

 

Why throw it in the garbage? It's still a quarter!

 

I swear I've seen that same grinding pattern on here before too ...
