I've only been a member since April 28, 2017 so I am quite pleased to see that I am close to this milestone (9,994 at present). Thanks to everybody for liking my coins, and, to a lesser extent, commentary, which I try to make interesting. In contrast it took me three years to get to this point in an astronomy forum I'm a member of. Certainly there are many great folks on this forum, which has turned a solitary and individualistic hobby into a social one and a great source of learning. So, thanks to all!!!
It has been nice getting to know you & your coins over the last year. We have a nice little coin club here at CT ! A couple years back my number of CoinTalk "posts" and my number of “likes” was about to become the same number. I decided to hold a secret contest for a numismatic gift. The person that gave that one required “like” (that made my number of likes equal my number of posts) would receive a present from Collect89 much like a secret Santa gift. The gift was tailored to the individual winner. If you want to see the contest announcement & gift it is here: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/co...t-that-nobody-knew-about.298140/#post-2768959) The winner was Montcollector & he had no idea about being the winner until I contacted him & sent the prize. Congrats on your 10,000. Here is one of my favorite ancient coins: Sikyon Stater
That's the problem with you "Ancients" guys. You give out "Likes" too freely. Just take a look at "Most Likes" on the "Members" page. You should be more hard-nosed. Chris
Is it our fault that we get all of these peeps from BoobTube who expect to get rich from their crappy Zincolns? Chris
