What's the longest time you've ever waited for a buyer on ebay to pay you? Some buyers take their time, WTH? I don't mind giving somebody extra time, especially for health reasons but where do you draw the line? Anyone?
I require immediate payment for Buy It Now. For auctions 3 days, then I send an invoice. If nothing after a week I turn it in.
Not a seller, but as a buyer i usually pay right away, unless an auction ends after I've gone to bed, then i pay first thing in the morning.
I try to pay sellers within minutes of purchase. I do not require immediate payment from buyers, but do appreciate it. If I haven't received payment from a buyer, I normally send out daily reminders beginning the day after the sale. If a buyer tells me the day on which to expect payment, I don't send any more reminders unless payment that day is missed. If I recall accurately, there was one buyer who strung me out for 7 days or so before paying me. That was the longest by far.
If they don’t communicate send a reminder the next day and open an unpaid item case as soon as eBay lets you. It’ll take over a week before you can close it anyway. If they do communicate and let you know whatever you two agree upon is reasonable.
Good to hear!! I'm trying to get used to the new format of offers and what not, they never had offers unless you posted a BIN with a best offer. I don't really care for the new format as it seems it knocked down the prices considerably. All that time I was buying stuff for really good prices and it didn't even dawn on me that ebay was screwing the sellers again. That's alright tho' cause I have plenty to sell and much of it I want to sell, I got my joy out of it and it's time for me to move on. Besides, ebay has always sucked for many different reasons especially prices, the only thing that's really changed is they suck more now.
You guys would probably hate me. For buy it nows I pay instantly, but for auctions I will often set a snipe and then just forget about it. Problem is I don't always bother to check my emails each day. i'll sometime go a week without looking at them if I'm busy with something else. If I win an auction during that period I may not find out about it for four or five days, sometimes more. When I do learn of it I do pay immediately though.
This is me as well. I've always paid for an auction win in less than 12 hours with maybe a rare exception. Besides, I like to receive my coins asap...
