What you should be reading up on is the worthless doubling.
That is where you have the problem.
Then take a tour through the die making process, and errors that happen at the mint.
Lastly understand what a DDO/DDR looks like, so that you can gauge all the worthless coins against them.

Most coins have worthless doubling. This is the main reason I myself don't bother searching for Doubled Die varieties.
