I have a 1973 d Kennedy half I think is DD on the O L L A of dollar and the A T E S of states. Also I think there is m d and ddd all over the rest of the letters. Second coin 1971 D half I think the D O L L shows DD. Any input or is it all MD and DDD. I'm really struggling with this even after all the pics and articles. Perhaps I'm just a little aslow. Thanks for any feed back. BTW I looked it up on Weller and found nothing, so I guess. Yes it is possible but the letters you are referring to on both of these coins are 100% MD. On both of these coins the place to look for doubling is on the word TRUST. On both of these coins you should also look for RPM's. Finally on the 71 look at the "I" of IN. Visit the VARIETY VISTA site for more references and if you can, get the Cherrypicker's Guide with half dollars.
