Happy Saturday boys and girls!!! So I picked up this lil lady thismorning along with a small group of other usual suspects. I dont have as much experience with the earlier stuff and was hoping for opinions on grade and what I might reasonably expect to get out of it. Thinking to sell it to fund other items. Its looks to be in decent original shape with actually a bit of luster still on the rev. There is sadly a bit of a scratch on the obv. Thanks for your input!!!!

Wow. Nice coin! I'm no grading expert, but I would say that it's XF-42 or so.

Thanks Gh!!! The prices seem to be a little all over the place on these. Do you have any input on a value? Like what would you think a fair price would be or what id expect from a dealer? Thx bud!!!

I think EF is a bit optimistic. I would be in the high fine range maybe VF details, but that scratch would really hurt it.

Wow, more than "a bit" of a scratch, that is right at the focal point of the coin. Unfortunately damage like that is the death knell of more than the rarest of coins.

XF details for that scratch. On EBay I’ll bet it would sell for $85 bucks on a no-reserve auction.

And that fellas is why theyre rare...hahaha...yea, that scratch is tragic. But for 15 bucks i didnt think i could loose but knew it would def be a nice coin with issues and thats why i posted it today. So we're kinda thinkin high fine/xf details but with death nail scratch expect to get in the $60-90 range give or take from low dealer to avetage ebay sale? That bout sum it up? Really appreciate the help guys

Its funny in a way. I used to dig old bottles and still do love them, but on a dig you could find 100 common, slick and worthless chemical bottles but if it was a fancy rare bitters or pontil? Broken...lol...got q bunch of nice bens, walkers, washingtons, and mercs in that group today...all with wear but otherwise clean and undamaged....the really cool rare super old coin though? Hahaha...yall see where im goin with this...hey im not whinin, just pointin out a reality we all have wanted to cry over once or twice...lol
