In addition to coin collecting I'm a homebrewer - I make beer at home. So when I saw this coin, I had to get one. Cheesy, isn't it? I like it. It's the same designer who did the Cook Islands "Trapped" coin in another thread. His "Space/Time Continuum" coin is very cool as well. It's real silver and resembles a bottle cap.
My spacetime continuum coin is one of the few unconventional coins that I have ever bought at such a premium. It was one of those "collect what you like" decisions. It's a lot of fun to show off.
I have a really hard time accepting gimmicky NCLT governmental fund raising items like those above as "coins". Although I wouldn't want to be seeming to delve too far into a numismatic "reinheitsgeböht" situation, I still, despite the names of the issuing authorities, denominations and dates - and even the superficial resemblance to the Seleukid "bottlecap" Æ serrate coinage find those "products" to be awfully far from anything I could comfortably call a "coin".
