ELIASBERG 1856 $2.50 MS61 Really 62 or 63, DO YOU AGREE? It’s about time to see these moving upward a little. I hope it last. MINTAGE 72,000 First coin minted since 1854, I think . Fun coin I ran across in a coin box. Try to guess we’re i found it while riding my bike in Washington.
Thank you Sandoller. I’ve been sneaking in and watching you add some nice coins. Keep up the good collecting.
Update on Project. Someone said that cases grow with time. Both sides are on the 4th or 5th lawyers. Well I can’t say everything I want to but here goes nothing. The other side while in District Court where I took a beating it’s been brought to my attention that their lawyer Was working late at the courthouse. Brb someone at the door.
I can’t seem to find any images that I could offer a better grade. But apparently this coin was graded by PCGS as AU-55 (or it could be a grade estimate used for Eliasbergs registry set), then it was graded and pedigreed to Eliasberg by NGC in 2009 as MS-61. Regardless of the grade, the Clapp/Eliasberg pedigree is about as good as it gets.
