I ran across this by accident. What a crazy listing and his description is bizarre. Comments? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1958-D-SAN...rentrq:0cf0698a1690abc66d4de8c9fffddc17|iid:2
He only has 3 feedbacks. By the way, it's a D mint mark, but he claims it was minted in SF? What? And, in 1958, the SF mint didn't issue coins.
Looks to me like it's a D over a S... RPM..... I didn't see that in the pic too fuzzy, but I take it that's what he meant.....
It doesn't look like a D over S to me. Even if that was the case, PCGS probably would have specified.
He can see whatever he wants to see on that coin's surface, but he isn't going to see any money for it. If I were with PCGS's legal department, I might take an interest in the claims he's making about one of their graders.
I can D over the S.... The S is under the D at the NW corner..... So it's a RPM for sure but not worth the money he's asking ~!~!
jeffB- I completely agree. If he cannot provide any documentation to these "phone conferences", I would be inclined to think that he's just a joker or scammer.
They'd go broke with all the effort they'd have to put in to chase down all the crazies. Anyone who believes that nonsense deserves what they get, it's really not worth PCGS's time
From the listing: "Keep in mind that the 1st origin of this “Extradnatory -and- Incredible” specimen has a long story and a long journey to be told as the (“specimen”) shows a clearly defined (“S MINT MARK”) next to the right of the date “1958” Well, I have seen equally "extradnatory" listings on eBay:
Fine. Return it. Oh, but the seller will "never receive" the return, either, will he? And the four dollars in shipping is the best part of that listing...
...Still waiting for someone to come along and show us where that dang "clearly-defined S Mintmark" is on this coin...
