This poor little person is liquidating his grandfather's coin collection and is selling an 1804 silver dollar. He doesn't know if it is real or not, but he is selling it on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/1804-drap-bust-...ryZ11947QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem By the way, if you need one, he also has an 1885 Trade dollar.
(hehehehe i've suckered them into bidding on the 1804 now is my chance to steal the 1885 let me get my card out of my ................
That trade dollar is fake too. The seller knows it. look who he state I dont know if its real or not, but hes sure the peso is, lol CONARTIST.
I could have done better on the photographs with my Brownie Starmite II. These look like the ones you see of the Loch Ness Monster. But the coin must be authentic, Frank, because, as he says, it doesn't say replica or copy on it. I mean, that's a dead giveaway. :headbang:
eddie: Ya know, I missed that! So, let all bid it up. Who knows we may just get a genuine 1804 $ for under $100 and then we can resell it for a cool million, or better!
lol I saw one on ebay about a year ago just like this. I was thinking to my self that same statement. If it was only real. I could makea cool mil. Knowing of course, there was just no way it was real. I watched the item for a few days and then ebay yanked it.
FINALLY ! I can fill those holes in my Whitman... lessee now... 1804 dollar ... check... 1885 Trade ... check... GottaBidGottaBidGottaBidGottaBidGottaBid
Man, I missed this one too. Oh well, atleast no one got taken. Good job guys, once again. :high5: Phoenix
You guys are brutal. You find these interesting auctions, but by the time I go to look at them to share in the fun, they're gone.
Dreamer, Some like coffee. Me I'm a tea man LOTS of tea. Gets you in on the early morning and later threads and I really don't shake that much.
You and me both, Clembo. I drink iced tea all day long. I take my insulated mug with me and I have a jug of tea in a cooler in my car most places I go. I don't drink coffee. Like I tell people when they ask why I don't drink coffee - I like my caffeine cold.
I do at home but work is not convenient for tea breaks in my case. Loose leaf teas I ALWAYS drink hot but break all the tea rules at work. Twinings' Lady Grey makes a delightfully refreshing iced tea actually. A mild version of Earl Grey with a hint of citrus. Yummy when cold as well.
Yes Dreamer, I agree with you. How come we don't get to see these before they get yanked? Guess I better *spend* my days surfing e*** so I can find these great deals before they disappear and then wonder who the lucky dog was that won the great coins. Nothing like being at the back of the pack so all you get is the odor of the catch. jeankay ;o}
