1983 die chip?

    Couldn't find this die chip on cuds on coins that is a die chip correct?

    Some old-timers might call this a "Plugged B", but now it is just called a "Filled B". It's not unusual to find similar die breaks in the center of any letter or number such as....A, D, O, 4, 6, 8, etc. This happens when the post on the die that forms the center of the letter or number breaks off and coin metal flows into the void.
