Recently @Bing generously offered several of his coins up for auction. He collects similarly as I do (Roman Republics), so much of his auction was Imperials. HOWEVER, I was able to snare a coin / type that I do no have: A SATYR !

I wanted to capture a cool coin from Bing, just to have one from him! I know I am posting before I receive, but it is too cool to sit on, and Bing and I will be meeting sometime soon (special hand delivery!)

Please post any SATYR's or any of your Bing Auction #1 coins!

Coingrats on the saweet Satyr coin!
I'm a fan of the type as well (though still have yet to score one of the iconic types with amphora rev).
I've got a couple of these nasty little dudes, one with nymph and one with his aulos in his hand;)

All of those are great looking coins! Thanks for sharing. I myself do not have a Satyr or a @Bing coin so I will just enjoy looking at yours haha.

Great detail for such a tiny coin :jawdrop:! I'll bet that satyr could put down that whole amphora of wine on the reverse :hilarious:.

I didn’t have a “Julian the apostate” in my VOT X collection. Thanks to Mr.Bing for letting it go.

Great choice. I want an ex Bing and was tempted by that Thasos satyr, but already have one of them. Eagerly awaiting the next sale!

My next auction should be in a week or so. If those on my "mailing" list wish not to participate, just let me know. I'm glad some of my coins have made it to happy homes and caretakers.
