thats why selling low end/common coins on the internet isnt exactly something that should be done to make a profit. i could see it if you're selling high end, slabbed, key dates, etc. sell that stuff to make up for the marginal losses on common/low end coins you sell. but dont sell just low end thinking you're gonna make a living on that. aint gonna happen.

Easier way without tape. Write on the 2x2 before you place the coin inside. Then when you staple it shut, make sure the bent over end of the staple is on top of the writing. Then mash it down into the cardboard. You can't remove it without it being obvious that it was removed.

Wow, call me crazy. I ship coins in a 2x2 flip. 2 returns in my ebay, both were same coin. Plain and simple..if they switch coins, no refund, but I have never had a problem. Good undoctored normal lit pics go a long way.

You've managed to go from hero to zero in the time it took you to type that post.

When it was Wm's reputation versus your nothing to lose, you were plenty into the fight. Now that it might cost you something to subject the issue to a 3rd party, you're bailing out.

WMS has put the $$$ where it counts, I won't encourage gambling, but thats pretty strong case of I stand by my material if you ask me.

WMS, I am going to make a full, sincere and very public apology here. While I disagree fully and strongly on the restock issue, you have stood your ground, illustrated your point and to back it up, you have gone beyond anything I have ever seen, and for that, I sincerely apologise for the tone of my posts on this thread.

I also state here, I have learned a very valuable lesson as far as gang up mentality and the ease of pointing fingers.

I am not calling Tdec a zero at all by the way in my apology.

I have an even simpler method. I have an old (very old) stapler that I use because it is the best stapler I have seen. It uses the old TOT 50 staples. Some of you may remember the little red staplers. The staples are smaller than the normal staples and not very easy to come across to the point the major office store do not stock them. I sincerely doubt that anyone trying to switch coins would have access to them.

I just can't be certain that the same coin would be the one submitted. I have 3 or 4 1910 P Lincolns certified ms 64 - 66 and it would be VERY VERY easy to crack out and submit in the place of a normal coin. 34 NEG FEEDBACKS FOLKS, that means atleast that many folks were VERY unhappy with his grading standards and practices. Now I admit that maybe a small handful of those people were A holes as I have ran across a couple as well but come on.

I just wish I would have taken a photo of the original coin. There is no Brilliance or Luster to the coin that was sent to me. Period. I have been collecting Lincolns for a long long time and have amassed quite a collection. I know for a fact that coin is NOT an MS 64. Send the damn thing in, if he is so confident why does he want to wager money. Im not the one that should be on the defensive here. Im not selling subpar coins and then offering a 10% restock fee.

To a quote earlier that I don't have a return fee in writing is true, My customers if DISATISFIED email me and I tell them send it back for a FULL REFUND NO QUESTIONS ASKED. PERIOD. I STAND BEHIND MY PRODUCT...

    WMSJEWELERS WHY CAN'T YOU?

Just take him up on his offer. 150 bucks in your pocket. Or are you chicken? All this pointing fingers if a joke. The seller said, he wanted to take you on. Have some back bone and take his money. Your gonna win if you so sure it altered.

He can't take me up because he has seen the coin and knows is it original. He knows that NGC will put the coin in a holder so he would rather back out now then face public harassment when the coin comes back and he doesn't pay up. I understand but stop trying to hurt my business and insult me personally when you won't step up to the plate and put your self out there for any risk. I have been more then fair and my deal is still on the table but you must let me know before the auction gets under one day so I can end the item.

Everyone else that has read this and formulated your opinions please check out my listing of the coin on ebay. EDITED--No self-promotion
He says the coin has no luster, look at it, it is dripping with luster. The coin is very nice for the grade and 110% original.

tdec1000 you have just over 11 hours to take me up on my offer.

Dripping with photoshop luster. How about you send it in for your own peace of mind. I can photoshop a piece of dog crap as well and call it MS 64. Honestly if the coin wasn't recolored than it would grade a nice 62RB. I'm done with this post.

    Have a nice day.

I just want to double check. was your last statement saying that the coin could be original. If so that is all I ever wanted to hear.

People disagree on grades of coins. this slight difference in opinion is what allows coins to be bought and sold. Every dealer and seller are at shops and shows and when we see a coin labeled Ms 63 that we think is Ms 64 we buy it. If we agree with the grade then the seller would have to be cheaper and back of grey sheet most times to get me to buy that coin. Unless I have a collector already wanting the coin.

This can be proven by taking coins from one holder and sending them to another company. NGC will often grade a coin different then PCGS and vise versa.

So again I just want to clarify. Could the coin be original? You came out saying that the item was doctored and not original. This was the center of your argument. Not the disagreement of grade.

I hope I am not twisting your arm to much but if you say uncle I will let go!

WmsJewelers: Why dont you just get it slabbed anyway?

tdec1000: Take this guy for his money and coin.

  15. WmsJewelers

    WmsJewelers New Member

There is no upside to getting it slabbed The coin will sell on ebay for 35-45 dollars. After paying 16 dollars plus shipping the coin would have to come back a 65 or I would loose money. It just wouldn't be cost effective. I can make 10 bucks selling it raw or loose 30 bucks getting it slabbed.

I would do it. Man your here to defend yourself arnt you. Why don't you put you coin where tdec1000's mouth is. I mean he didnt pull out any stops to attack you. So why wouldnt you pull out all the stops to stick up for yourself. Personal attack mind you. If you ask me 10 bucks is well worth stopping some one from draging your name through the mud.

10 bucks where did you get that from? This guy wants to wager $150. Quite frankly I don't have that kind of money right now. This guy has already taken my money mind you. I am out 9$ for a coin I didn't care for. I am not trying to lose any money if he switches the coin for a better one and sends it to get graded. I am not an idiot, nor will I be played as one.

Good point ,,but I was trying to get him into actually defend him self more then either of you pay 150 to each other. :) I get 10 bucks from if he send the coin out to be slabbed then lists it on felabay. If it costs him say 16 bucks to get it slabbed and then sells if for 26 HE makes 10 bucks. I dont blame you for not wanting to take the chance of lossing 150 bucks. But if your 100% sure the coin is messed with. then what do you have to loss?
