2000 D State quarter problem!

    Newbie69 Doesn't make cents!

    This one is missing design elements on the south side of the Obv. and Rev. We typically see this a lot on one side or the other of coins from die deterioration but not both sides such as this.The reverse appears to have been slightly misaligned to the north as well. Can we conclude that this is just die deterioration on both sides in the same area, PMD? Or is there something else at the mint that could cause this to happen? Help please!     Struck through grease on both sides.. Worn Die Strike.

    Do you know that the Old Man of the Mountain rock formation is no longer there?
    It crumbled a few years back :(

    Meow recalls hearing or reading about that. It mentioned a State quarter curse. Are there any other state quarter depictions that have been damaged or destroyed?
