While looking through my change i came across this nickle and looking through my magnifying glass i noticed on the back in "United" both the "U & T" are not correct as well as the "C" in "America" are they errors?

If it isn't an error, it's got to be damage. Right?

    BTW these are Jefferson nickels.

Liberty (also called V) nickels were minted up to 1912 (before the Buffalo's).

Now, just wait a minute, Burton. I have to take issue with you on that point. The buffalo were already here when the Lewis & Clark expedition began in 1804.

    Buffalo Nickels

And, if you are going to be a pedantic ******, the big shaggy things are Bison.

I've seen Cape Buffalo - there's a reason nobody messes with them. Think of a bulldozer with an attitude....

No errors that I can see but I am not an expert on Jeff nickels. Looks like plain old wear and tear to me. Let's see if an expert can confirm.

No, you are NOT getting different answers.

Everybody has replied that it is a damaged, PMD coin.
