1955-s off center??

    Is this off center. The rim on the top is kind of missing.

    Slightly it is called mis aligned dies.
    Just a tad bit off from center ,hardly enough to give it a percentage off.

    Sure it's an s mint mark coin in nice shape.

    S mint is preferred over the other D and P ?

    In many cases yes but not always....and since I reside on the right coast yes "s" mint marks were always a treat to find .

    Misaligned Die strikes are nice. I keep them.
    But nothing major or with any huge premium.

    As a rule of thumb most S mint mark cents had a lower production than P or D.
    Which make them a little bit harder to find.
