My cousin sent me some pics of a few Philippine notes her Grandfather had left her, and wanted me to find out what they were and an estimate on what they might be worth. The scans aren't that great, but it's all I was sent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Coleguy... nice Phillipine Notes...I do not know much about them, however, if you click on the link to my collection you will find at Banknote.bank a person by the name of Mariner..he has hundreds of Phillipine notes and you can email him asking about them.. Hope this helps you some! RickieB
i have those notes as well, only in slighty better condition Those notes ARElisted in the Krause books, so lemme see what i can find .... the 1936 1 peso note (P-81), is worth $1.50 in VG, so your notes i worth less, maybe $1. The Series #66 1 peso note, printed in 1944 (P-94) is worth .75 in VG, so your note might be worth .40-.50 (maybe) The series #66 5 peso note, printed also in 1944 (P-96) is worth 2.50 in VG and $10.00 in VF. Your note is G-VG, IMHO more towards Good, so i would think maybe $1 to $1.50 or so. hope this helps
Thanks for the help RickieB and Daggarjon, it was most appreciated. I'll pass this on to my cousin. I think this has also inspired me to pick up a few books on paper money, even though I don't currently own any. The more I look the more interesting it becomes. Guy~
