Those are quite unusual looking clashmarks, but I'm pretty sure that's what they are. Those were some really tired dies! I like the toning, but I'm not totally sure it's original. Looks kind of like secondary toning to me. Will it pass muster at NGC? Dunno. Maybe, maybe not. Whether it straight-grades or not, that's a handsome coin.
The dies clashed several times at different rotations to each other. That's really cool. I love it. Pretty coin. I think NGC will call it EF Details, cleaned, A/T or Q/C. Not sure what term they use. I would buy the coin no matter what they call it.
I'm not really sure what all is going on with the coin. Fun coin. We could use some help from @Fred Weinberg on this.
Really cool LDS example with what looks like no less than 5 die clash events with one (the latest?) being oriented well out of the sequence of the other 4. What is the die alignment?
Wow, nice prominent clash of the ribbon & left wing!!! Don't think it will make AU, but a nice specimen nonetheless! Hope to see the final return from NGC.
I think this is what they mean by being, "Rode hard and put to bed wet". That die went through clashing and kept going even when the lettering blended into the rim. Very nice looking coin. It will be interesting to see how it comes back.
