I don’t usually watch infomercials. But I ran across one this morning of interest.

Rick Tomaska and Miles Standish (selling under the title of Rick’s U.S. Coins) are peddling sets of American Silver Eagles (1986-2016) for $1,795) All are NGC MS69.

This may have been on TV for some time since the set only runs through 2016.

A lot of money for bullion coins. You are buying an autograph and label in my opinion.

I think they've been selling those sets for a long time.

A little steep, but I’ll give Rick some credit. Unlike the other tv used car salesmen types, Rick is an actual numismatist and has written a few very good books about proofs and has assembled some very nice collection. The cost of running those tv spots has to be tremendous and that cost is added to the price of the coins. If you want that set, contact him directly through R&I coins.

Their price reflects a typical 40% overhead.

Not much different than going to an auto repair shop. After you get the invoice with your parts listed, compare the prices on Ebay and you'll see a 30-40% difference.
