Squares indented on Penny

    Hello,

    I am not a coin collector or anything, I just came across something unique and was wondering if it meant the penny had any significant value or meaning.

    As you can see from the pictures, there are several small squares indented on both sides of the penny, and they are evenly spaced apart. I am curious to figure out how and why this may have happened.

    Go take a look at vice jaws and you'll see similar type of design on the steel jaws. There's various grip designs so you may not find an exact match unless you check a lot of them.
