20 dollars double eagle from silver 1914s....

    If anybody know about this coin.


    this coin belong to my friend, and he


    didn't find anything in the books.


    Can you help about this coin?

    Are you sure it's silver? If he's thinking that the "s" in 1914-S means silver, it actually is a mint mark that means the coin was minted in San Francisco. A 1914-D would indicate that the coin was minted in Denver, and no mintmark (or a "p" on modern coins) means that it was minted in Philadelphia. The $20 Double Eagle was definitely a gold coin. Some pictures would be nice, otherwise for quick, general information:

    a $20 double eagle is gold.

    Sorry, maybe my friend have a mistake.


    But he knew about the gold coins.


    He axplain to me that he don't know how to send a picture in the computer.


    But have many Americans coins.
