Haven't been to Overstock in a while. About 1500 coin auctions going. Abon has 248 including this stunning 1921 Morgan!

    http://auctions.overstock.com/1921-P-SGS-GRADED-MS68-MORGAN-SILVER-DOLLAR/Coins/item/43553569

The good old ebay template quoting ridiculously high prices. Am kind of curious though as I checked all auctions and very few with grades in title and a different auction template. Going to have to check if Overstock is tightening the noose a bit.

    Enjoy in the meantime!

At least he didn't grade that one MS-70. Can you believe that coin has 19 bids on it already and the highest bid is over $120? I wouldn't pay that much for a 1921 Morgan even if PCGS had graded it. I don't get some folks.

PCGS I'd gladly drop $120 Gopher as REAL high end 21 Morgans are scarce. Course it's more like a 63 so basically junk silver plus a buck.

It's true that any Morgan graded over MS-65 is very scarce and that coin would be worth a pretty penny if it was graded MS-68 by a reputable company. But I just have never been very impressed with uncirculated 1921 Morgans because it seems like quite a few of these coins were saved by collectors and thus seem too common in AU thru mid-grade MS.

I agree 100% Gopher. It's the MS68 I was talking about. A legit 68 in a PCGS holder would command one hell of a premium.

Like the man says on his auction, What an opportunity! Looks like the high bidder was born in 1954 from his username. So he's ripping off a 53 year old guy that may be looking to invest some money in coins for the future. How do people like this live with themselves? Don't get me started!

I think I already did but that's a good thing. Hell, I've never stopped.
We just have to keep educating.

Are you implying this guy is ripping off the elderly? I hope not because I was born in 1955 and I don't consider myself to be elderly. (But it crosses my mind every time I get something new in the mail from AARP.)
