Is this a proof or just a very nice 1957 dime?

And I'm not able to open these airtights. It's like so locked in. You cant open them up. Cut my finger while doing it. But this dime looks proof. But not the mirror Finnish. So therefore probably not a proof. Looks like one.

I agree it appears Proof... but that corrossion on the reverse of the 62 is no good.

As you shop and add to your collection watch the dates and the fields. It's okay to just look when your out and about.

 

No hon....a proof is struck on a specially prepared platchet. Struck with proof dies and struck twice . Now there has been proof dies retired from striking proof coins to being used mint state coins.
This is where it get interesting....is it a proof coin or a well struck MS coin struck with repurposed proof dies?
There has been several threads here on CT that talk about this subject.
Plenty of examples of coins that are proof like mint state coins.
