Dang, wish I were home now instead of on vacation. 40 years ago my brother was tilling his garden and unearthed a “plaque” of Lincoln, perhaps six inches high by four wide. Maybe white metal or pewter, but from being buried for who knows how many decades this is only a guess. He gave it to me to try to figure out from whence it came, but I never got around to it. Thanks @Idhair for starting this thread: when I get back in April I’ll post it and perhaps you or someone else on CT will have some input. Steve
I would be happy to help you figure it out. There is a great amount of information out there on the topic.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if the first few of these plaques that were produced had "VDB" on it somewhere, but was then removed? Hahaha.
I almost grabbed that one when it came up, but I had just paid my parade dues and am kind of tight on disposable income at the moment. I’m assuming that you bought this off of the bay a couple weeks ago. I’ve wanted one for a few years now, what an interesting piece.
Yeah. That one would look great on the wall of my doghouse after my wife kicks me out of the big house when she saw the price. Steve
