1974 D dime missing 2 letters

    So as the title explains i have a 1974 D dime,U.S., i came across this cool looking coin 3 days ago and ive noticed that by the tourch it is missing 2 letters if someone could tell me if I have something worth hanging on to or just pocket change I would really appreciate your time, thank you.

    I noted that you referred to it as possibly being "pocket change". By any chance, have you read the book, "Strike It Rich With Pocket Change"? If you have, you're just wasting your time. Before you start looking for errors, you need to understand how the minting process works. Once you have done that, you must realize that you have a greater chance of being hit by a meteorite than you do finding a valuable coin in circulation.

    Filled die. It's a minor error and doesn't carry any premium, especially in that condition. Cool to keep if you like it, but it is worth pocket change

    Awesome thank you, I'm still fairly new to this but ive always had an attraction to coins, and this one caught my eye I think I have a special place for this guy. Thanks again
