I went in to the dealer here and he DID CHECK THIS 1981 S LINCOLN CENT AND DID VERIFY IT AS A rare #TYPE2 SO SEE ANY TIME I PUT A COIN ON HERE AND I TAKE IT TO TGE COIN SHOP HERE AND THEY VERIFY IT AS A ERROR OR A CERTAIN TYPE AND VERIFY IT AS A CERTAIN TYPE AND I PUT IT UP ON HERE FOR YALL TO CHECK YALL SAY DIFFERENT. AND THIS 1981 IS A TYPE 2 AND EVEN VERIFIED SO EVERYTIME I PUT THESE COINS UP ON HERE. No disrespect but I just seem like I'm getting down played when infact I get these coins and money verified I just wanted to put that out there .no disrespect ok. I'm new at this and I even have a 2018 D Lincoln cent that is a ddo and also the reverse also has errors I had it verified. So. No disrespect I even had my 2006 1$ bill verified from a dealer but y'all say that writing was wrote on it. Well it was verified from a DEALER WHEN I WENT TO ONE. SO. Type 1 common and type 2 rare and my 1981 S has gotten VERIFIED ALREADY AS A RARE TYPE 2 AT A DEALERS COIN SHOP. I DIDNT SAY ANYTHING UNTILL YALL STARTED BRINGIN IN COMMENTS. THEN I SAID SOMETHING BECAUSE ITS WRONG IT IS A TYPE2 IT GOT VERIFIED AND THANK U

 

Maybe because they got a chance to look at it in hand? And didn’t have to deal with a bad photos? Also, please stop yelling. Also also, this coin is by no means rare.

 

Feel better now that you got that off your chest Jorje? Very first reply explained your photo was not good enough to truly tell and not all coin dealers are good at identifying varieties. And just a tip, a lot of people will not read a post that is in all caps.

Caps is generally consider yelling in the internet community. PCGS does not sell coins. I see no auction record for $800. Your coin is not worth that. This coin has some nicks and dings and appears to have dirt in some spots. You don’t need a fancy camera to take good photos, just have ample light and place the coin flat on a surface.

You know for as little as ten bucks you can find a clip on magnifying lens for your phone. Slides right over the camera lens on your phone. Here's a picture I took of a die crack with mine.
