It just ****es me off to see sellers offering crap like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/1000-SLABBED-COIN-SALE-HUGE-SAVINGS-1-CENT-SHIPPING-NOR_W0QQitemZ250216361412QQihZ015QQcategoryZ525QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I feel so sorry for anyone who gets suckered in to this. I just don't get how so many sellers can get away with crap like this on a daily basis.
PNCCSgrading.com???? um....avoid it like the plague. i like how they misspell numismatic on the slab. lolololololololololololololololol amateur.
Did anyone catch the typo in the name of the grading service? Professional Numimatic Coin Grading Service NumiSmatic, you mean??? or, maybe you don't know that much about coins or collecting... sorry
you know... I just went and looked at the "grading service" website. I could imagine the potential for a scam there. A grading service just pops up on the internet. People see it on eBay, and submit coins. The "grading service" folds up shop and offs with the coins. Done deal. And before you ask, YOU KNOW people CAN BE that stupid!!!
On their submission page: "Include a check or money order to CFO Inc." I thought they were the Professional Numimatic Coin Grading Service?? Must stand for Complete F____ Over!
The sad part of this is that it is not anybody on this site that is buying from this crook, but grandma or grandpa looking to buy coins for their grandkids. I cannot simply imagine any real collector buying from these folks but yet they thousands and thousands of coins a month to unsuspecting buyers. And it is these folks that give real coin dealers a bad name. The buyers of this crap will take it down to their local coin shop at some point and the local coin shop will simply laugh at them and/or offer a price at 10% of what the buyer paid for it. They then blame the local coin shop. The question is how do honest dealers, etc educate non-frequent buyers and/or put these types of scammers out of business?
Any body catch the question and answer at the bottom? he still doesn't say what you are buying. My guess is you get one red cent!! I think I will pass also.
Feedback is from penny purchases Look at this crook's feedback profile. Almost all are from sellers where he purchased items for a penny. Unbelievable!
Yea his purchaces all look like feedback builders. Screensavers, e-bay how to downloads and the such.
He's back on: http://cgi.ebay.com/1-000-COIN-COLL...goryZ525QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem So sad.
From the "new and improved" listing. "NOTE TO EBAY AND POTENTIAL BIDDERS: Please Note that in compliance with ebay rules (1) No numeric grade is not included in the title of this listing (2) The grading company or price guide is not referenced in the title or description (3) No dollar value (even if personal opinion) is not included in the title or description." He needs to drop the NOT in points 1 and 3. Double negatives which means they are so he's breaking rules? I am NOT,not sure whether or not, NOT that makes any sense. What a wonderful and articulate seller. clembo
Question I was wondering, and I ask this because I really don't know. If you see a fraud or a seller selling bogus coins is it possible to e-mail the bidder a let them know before they loose their money? I have seen at times the bidders info kept private but at other times their (EBay) name is right there. Just wondering.
