1943 wheat penny...

    Hello all,

    I have 30, 1943 wheat pennies, 29 of which, clearly look like zinc-coated steel, like the one on right in pic, but the one on the left looks different from the rest.

    Looks like it is just really rusty.

    It's corroded and rusted. You can see the highlights of the zinc surfaces.

    take a magnet to it. if the magnet sticks, its a steel cent. But if the magnet doesn't stick, it could be worth millions. Counterfeits exist, so i would send it to NCS for conservation, and then to PCGS for grading. This is only if it doesn't stick. Overall, great finds!
