2003 Illinois quarter is all dark colored... Is this an error coin?

    I found this 2003 Illinois quarter and it's really dark... Is this an error coin?

    This is an environmental damaged coin. The darkness is caused by being exposed to things like lying on the ground as looks the case with your Quarter.

    It's a spender. Not a Mint error.
